ONLY 1000 boxes of 12 cigars. The Box resembles Yankees Stadium. Two Sides of the Box include windows resembling the stadium, and the rear side of the box includes Yankees-style retired numbers minus the pinstripes.
This United Cigars Stadium Series II CLE Corojo 11/18 cigar is made in Honduras. Outside, you'll find a Corojo wrapper. Inside, the binder is Honduran, and the filler is Honduran. This is a 6 x 48/54/48 Perfecto cigar.
Long gone are the days when the Babe could fire up a stogie at Yankee Stadium, but the spirit of moments like that is alive and well in the United Cigars Stadium Series II CLE Corojo 11/18. This is the second in the series, with the first being the Asylum Green Monstah blend. Dueling fanbases can get in on some primo blends from two companies known for bringing it.
The Stadium Series II is the Honduran classic from a company that is all about tobacco from that region. Christian Eiroa, the founder of CLE, has built his company's reputation in large part on blends like this that display all the rich flavor that Honduran soil can produce. Rowdy Habano seed long-filler tobacco is joined to an aged Corojo wrapper perfect for this cigar. The flavors include black pepper, oak, and fresh earth. It’s a tobacco lover’s cigar, putting our smoke that hits the spot in a way that only a punchy Honduran blend from CLE can.
The box of the United Cigars Stadium Series II CLE Corojo 11/18 has the feel of Yankee Stadium. There are 12 cigars inside with pin-striped paper sleeves that are close to the real deal, but not exactly. It’s an homage, not a licensed product; we have to imagine.
The size is a signature cigar type from CLE. The 11/18 has been properly described as a “pregnant toro.” As you might expect, it’s fatter in the middle. It’s around 52/54 on the ends but expands to around a 60-ring gauge at the center. This means that once you get into the middle third of the cigar, you’re getting an adjustment in the flavor profile in favor of the long-filler tobacco.
Like the sweet spot on a bat. Swing for the fences, boys.
